Woensdrecht comprises the villages of Woensdrecht, Hoogerheide, Huijbergen, Ossendrecht and Putte. Anyone approaching the Brabantse Wal from Zeeland will notice that the flat Zeeland polder land on the border with Brabant suddenly changes into a gently sloping landscape. Woensdrecht and Ossendrecht tower high above the surroundings, over 20 metres at some points! The height differences, forests and polders are a walhalla for cyclists and walkers. Woensdrecht is a true cycling and cycling municipality. It has a rich cycling history and many cycling events take place here, such as the GP Adrie van der Poel.

The area has good facilities, such as the cycling and hiking network, mtb trails, and cosy cafes. A freshly brewed cup of coffee, a special beer or an extensive lunch are waiting for you! Nature lovers are also well catered for. Wetland Het Markiezaatsmeer is a nationally recognised nature reserve and an important breeding ground for birds. On the border with Belgium is the Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide and the Moretusbos / Ravenhof Castle Park. These areas are open to the public. For the active holidaymaker, but also for those who like to relax, the Woensdrecht area offers excellent opportunities.
