The Brabantse Wal is not only a feast for the eyes, but also for your taste buds! From sweet strawberries to salty anchovies and fresh asparagus: here you can taste the region in all its purity. Go exploring at farm shops, join in culinary events and discover what makes this region so delicious. Asparagus is also a (European) recognised regional product, placing it in the same league as Gouda cheese, Parma ham and the Opperdoezer Ronde.
In April, the first asparagus and strawberries of the season appear, which, combined with the famous anchovies, form the key ingredients of the so-called AAA menu. Many restaurants draw inspiration from this theme and serve up a unique showcase of their culinary skills. As well as the well-known 3As – strawberries, asparagus and anchovies – there are many more delicious local produce available on the Brabantse Wal . Many local businesses offer these regional and artisanal products.
