Synagoge
The former synagoge from 1832 was built in neo-classical style, recognisable by its sober and austere forms. The motto on the eaves refers to a gift from King William I. The medieval cellars with the Mikwe (ritual bath), a water basin and two wells are among the finest in the Netherlands. In the women's gallery, you will find original documents by Jewish resistance hero Walter Süskind.
Opening hours
- Open from 1 November 2026 to 26 April 2027 on Saturdays and Sundays from 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
From 27 April 2027 to 31 October 2027, open from Wednesday to Sunday from 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
The monument is not open to visitors on days when it is being hired out or when events are taking place.
