Autumn walk on the De Hertgang Estate

After all those summer days, autumn has now well and truly arrived. The supermarkets are once again advertising stew, kale and Brussels sprouts, whilst the paths at De Hertgang are already strewn with acorns, chestnuts and beech nuts. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing colour and preparations for winter are visible everywhere. It is precisely at this time of year that the estate has a charm all of its own.

Enjoy the autumn walk at De Hertgang Estate, led by the estate’s owner, Hans Remijnse. A wonderful opportunity to see the arboretum and gardens in a new light and to discover more along the way about the remarkable trees and plants that grow here.

From 1.30 pm, coffee and tea with a treat will be available in the visitor centre. At 2.00 pm, a fascinating presentation on the ‘ Brabantse Wal ’ and the history of the estate will begin. This will be followed by a walk of about an hour through the arboretum and past the gardens. Along the way, Hans Remijnse will tell you about special trees, plants and other remarkable features that you might easily overlook on an ordinary walk.
Afterwards, you can enjoy the slideshow ‘The Four Seasons at De Hertgang’ in the visitor centre, order a drink, have a chat and round off the afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere.
