Canadese en Britse erevelden

Bergen op Zoom is home to two military war cemeteries that recall its wartime past.
British War Cemetery; the majority of the (mostly British) dead buried here are air force personnel who died over the Netherlands. The cemetery has 1,284 graves. This cemetery also contains some graves of soldiers who died during World War I.
Canadian War Cemetery; most of the servicemen buried here died during the Battle of the Scheldt (September-November 1944). In this cemetery, 1,119 soldiers found their final resting place. The majority of those killed were Canadians, with 969 casualties.
