Het Oudland
Het Oudland consists of an attractive mosaic pattern of (deciduous) forests, woodlands and agricultural land. It is owned by Brabants Landschap. The alternation between wet forest and drier grassland is reflected in the flora and fauna. Due to the great diversity of landscape types, very valuable plant and animal species occur there. The 'Bergh & Vaert' footpath runs in and around het Oudland. A beautiful and varied walking route (6 km) that is definitely worth walking. For children, there is Het Slingerpad. A nature experience trail through a part of het Oudland, popularly called the Slingerbos. Koch Hall (Kapelaan Kockstraat 55) is the starting point for the diversions. A pedestrian bridge over the Ligne connects het Oudland with Halsters Laag. In the Halsters Laag, a beautiful walking route (Laarzenpad, 4 km long) has been set out by Staatsbosbeheer.
