Because of the various wine tastings, the Vineyard Dinner, grape-picking and winter pruning, Heenwerf logically receives mainly wine lovers. But also nature lovers, as grape-picking and winter pruning are particularly popular with people who like to be mindfull outdoors. You also enjoy various regional products in this 'pearl in the polder' and, surprisingly, on-site purchases are cheaper than via the webshop.
Tip for your visit: discover the personal attention and tips from Sofie and Marnix! The owners of Heenwerf are very socially involved. Something that stands out when you ask for tips: most references are to locations of nearby and friendly entrepreneurs. Think of minicamping Buiten aan de Baak, Bobla SUP & Surf (discover the area from the water!), restaurant Carpe Diem in Oud-Gastel, or the luxury accommodations of holiday park Cruyslandse Kreken across the water.
So combining a visit to this gem (also sometimes little discovered by locals) with a stay in the area is a good idea: "I didn't know until now that there was a vineyard so close by. How much we enjoyed it!"
