Vluchtheuvel
Vluchtheuvel is located on the high sandy soils of North Brabant. There is about thirty metres difference in height with the adjacent Noordpolder van Ossendrecht. There are Austrian pines in the forest and rough birch and common elder grow. Breeding birds here are jay, robin, great tit and blue tit. Natuurmonumenten is creating clearings in the forest where deciduous trees such as rough birch and wild rowan can sprout. This intervention will create a more varied, natural forest.
