Oorlogsmuseum Ossendrecht
The Oorlogsmuseum Ossendrecht is a private initiative of Jan and Janneke de Jonge, housed in the former KMT building. The collection focuses on the period 1939-1945, with a special focus on the Battle of the Scheldt. The museum has a wide range of objects, including uniforms, vehicles, weapons and medical equipment. There are also scenes depicting specific events of the war, such as the mobilisation in 1939 and the liberation in 1945. You can also see a train set from that era and a fully equipped bunker. The collection was born from the personal passion of Jan de Jonge, who has been collecting military objects since his childhood.
