Voormalige watermolen
The voormalige watermolen is the oldest preserved tidal mill in the Netherlands. In Bergen op Zoom, the large wheel served for the rye mill and the small wheel for the wheat mill. This Bergse Grote Watermolen was first put into operation in 1503. Of all the remains preserved in the Netherlands, the one in Bergen op Zoom is the most recognisable and impressive.
