Tineke Schouten

Tineke Schouten is well past retirement age, but still performs night after night in sold-out venues. When you see her running and flying on stage, you wonder how she actually keeps up the killer pace of her shows. And that is exactly the question Schouten asks herself in her new show Femme Vitaal.

Sitting behind the geraniums is nothing for her. But fair is fair, getting out from behind is a lot harder than it was 20 years ago. In order not to disappoint her audience, Tineke does what she can to be fit and healthy on stage in the years to come. What is the secret of eternal youth? Joining Nederland in Beweging on NPO 1 every morning? Or surely something more like De Perfecte Verbouwing on RTL 4?

In her 28th (yes, you read that right) show, thunderous laughter alternates with moving songs accompanied by Tineke's regular band. For her audience - now four generations - Tineke exposes herself completely. Well, almost completely. Because lately, the queen of typettes prefers to wear something with a longer sleeve.

Femme Vitaal takes a spiritual journey to inner beauty and primal power. Beautiful, of course. But Tineke is also just happy to be alive. Young at heart and with the approval of her GP, she therefore travels the country again.
