With ROUGE, choreographer Isabelle Beernaert presents a new, fiery creation that vigorously continues her artistic signature. For 40 years, she has touched a wide audience with creations in which dance, emotion and inner experience merge into an intense physical experience.

In ROUGE, she returns to the primal power of the body. Stomping feet, trembling earth and rousing bodies are the starting point of a raw dance ritual in which fury, vulnerability and life instinct come together.

The dancers move between explosion and stillness, between control and surrender. What begins as anger or tension transforms into pure energy.
