Cesar: The story of a drummer

Cesar: The Story of a Drummer is the title of the hugely successful biography of Cesar Zuiderwijk. This autumn, this unique story will come to life in a lecture tour that the Golden Earring drummer will undertake with writer and music journalist Jean-Paul Heck. Heck co-wrote the book with Zuiderwijk, and it will be brought to life in an evening of ‘spoken word’ and a dash of drumming prowess. On this evening, Zuiderwijk and Heck will, as it were, draw you right into the book, with poignant moments interspersed with zany stories and delightful anecdotes.

In ‘Cesar: The Story of a Drummer’, visitors become part of the evening as they can ask questions or perhaps share a fascinating story of their own about Cesar or Golden Earring. It promises to be a unique evening in which a piece of Dutch pop history is brought to life, almost literally. The major successes, the difficult moments, his life, Cesar’s solo work, Sloper and the end of Golden Earring. It’s all packed into this show.
