The Sunshine Boys
Location
Bert Visscher and Martin van Waardenberg are appearing together on stage for the first time! Neil Simon’s world-famous 1972 theatre classic *The Sunshine Boys* has been successfully adapted for the screen and performed by various actors; now it is the turn of these Dutch comedy greats.
Two variety artists once formed a successful duo. After more than ten years of radio silence, the grumbling, seasoned performers are brought together to perform their most famous sketch one last time. But mutual recriminations and pent-up frustrations set the tone. It is only when one of them suffers a heart attack that the sharp edges soften. *The Sunshine Boys* is a comic and moving play about two people who, despite everything, remain inextricably linked for life.
