A visit to the Verborgen Vesting starts in the ArcheoHotspot Bergen op Zoom. Here, a presentation focuses on what a fortress is, what parts a fortress has and what it was for. And what may or may not still be found of the Berg fortifications during archaeological excavations. You then walk (in about 5 minutes) to the Verborgen Vesting. There you descend a staircase to hear, see and experience the Verborgen Vesting. This amid the impressive archaeological remains of the Verborgen Vesting ress and through an audiovisual presentation on 3 large cinema screens.
*The Verborgen Vesting is only accessible by stairs and therefore unfortunately not easily accessible for people with walking difficulties.
