Guided tour of De Grebbe

City sewer De Grebbe dates back to the thirteenth century. The sewer is four metres wide, 780 metres long and runs from the Ravelijn via Geweldigerstraat, Markiezenhof, Moeregrebstraat to Gedempte Haven. The Grebbe is Bergen op Zooms largest monument. The section between Gevangenpoortstraat and het Markiezenhof is open to the public. Do you dare to go down under Bergen op Zoom with a guide? Then book a ticket for one of the guided tours.

The programme starts in the courtyard of het Markiezenhof with a presentation over a cup of coffee or tea. This is followed by an above-ground walk through the area, ending with the absolute highlight: a visit to the Grebbe itself.

Important: participants should be well-footed, wear sturdy footwear and avoid wheelchair, walker and claustrophobia. The walk is suitable from the age of 6 and lasts 1.5 hours.
